Crossover – 8 on 8 Flag Football Plays

The Crossover from our 8 on 8 flag football plays collection is designed to be run out of a sideline stack formation with 4 on 4 style bunch offense in the middle. This play is designed to beat both a man and zone defense, faring particularly well against a zone cover 2 by drawing the right corner and safety’s attention away with the crossing route and seam, and dragging #2 in the 15 yard range to get him open.  It’s a good intermediate play and timing route with multiple options.

  1. This is a great concept, is it for a contact or non-contact format? Might be harder with a contact format but could still be adjusted to work well. Nice work Travis, looks pretty good!

    1. And thanks! We’ll be coming out with a play or two a week hopefully among other news, strategies and info. Let us know if there’s anything else you’d like to see or have ideas for!

    2. This is specifically for a non-contact screen blocking league that we are used to in the Dallas area, I would guess it could be applied to a contact version without much difficulty! Same concepts would still apply!

      1. I could see it being easily adapted for a contact or free rush league…the O-Line couldn’t all vacate right away but they could switch routes with another WR or something to help create the same windows to throw into.
